Whipped Into Shape: Cottage Cheese Goes Gourmet
I have had a love hate relationship with cottage cheese over the years. I liked the idea, low fat, high protein and ate it in my healthy vegetarian years. But like many people was never a fan of the texture. I love the whipped ricotta ricotta recipes and great that its yummy for sweet and savory dishes. But the price can be off putting. So when I kept seeing whipped cottage cheese I knew I had to try it. Half the price of ricotta.
I used my stick blender as I only bought a small 250g tub. I tried a recipe suggestion where it was served on toast with a drizzle of jam or honey? I only made one for the photo. But it was actually so good I had to go back for a second slice. Who knew! The basil really made it too.
